The Panasonic boombox's had detachable speakers one rewired with Monster one with the original cables.

Go ahead a live in the dark. The tests prove that good cabling is required for the most accurate sound no matter how cheap the stereo is. It was a real eye and ear opener. They made no other changes to the Panasonic boombox than that and they were the exact same model! DUH!

They also had demonstrations with high end equipment too, as I said before you can't be a "bass nut" if you can't hear the vastly improved bass in better cables. It's your loss.
