I live in that enchanted world of vinyl of well as over 90% of my vinyl has no extraneous noise

whatsoever even though my Sennheiser HD-580 headphones. Of course I mostly collect audiophile LPs which are pressed mostly on virgin vinyl and not junk recycled vinyl like the major labels.

In fact listening with headphones to my Mercury Living Presence / Speakers Corner 180 Gram LPs I can only hear slight surface noise at the very beginning before the tape recorder is turned on. The slight hiss from the tape recorder drowns out the slight surface noise. And the tape hiss is lower than the SACD version which is much lower than the CD version. In other words through speakers Mercury Living Presence / Speakers Corner 180 Gram LPs have no audible tape hiss or surface noise, making it considerably quieter than either the CD or SACD versions. I find the tape hiss on the SACD versions pretty easy to mentally drown out although I know it's there but on the CD version the tape hiss is so loud and buried in the music it is impossible to ignore.

Are your audiophile LPs noisy as well, if so you have a big problem. Maybe they can be saved with a good enzyme cleaner and Gruv Glide?
Music is love,
Mono is not music to my ears.
Give me stereo or give me silence!
