The Worst digital recordings I know

I think you're onto something. Remastered rock classics are very often a big disappointment. Some of the worst are early Rolling Stones lps like Decembers Children. They sound awful. And even when the lps sound good it sounds like they have been screwed with.

But the most irritating digital sound I have ever heard - the award goes to the following two digital LPS!!

Classical: Leonard Bernstein and the Israel Philharmonic playing
Stravinsky's Petrouchka. Listening to this makes you think of lead and steel being banged against your head.

Pop: Gato Barbieri's Ruby my Dear: It sounds like chalk squeaking on the blackboard from first note to last.

So much for vinyl cures everything. It's the ANALOG, stupid.
