I guess we do agree on something? = The music is the most important part of the audiophile hobby.

And who told you I had a 4" woofer?
I tell all the girls I have a 15" woofer,
because that's what I have.

And I never said speakers sound the same!

Actually the ONLY component genre I've ever suggested could all sound the same (other than SPL differences) are wires, and only because I have no objective proof where any audiophile demonstrated to witnesses that she could hear home audio wire differences in an objective test using a home stereo system with the test participant in the same room.

Also, claiming all wires may sound the same should get audiophiles riled up enough to try a single-blind wire test at home, and report the results (a six-year old child could do a SBT at home -- I've done them four times at home) ... but they never do, because they prefer to launch character attacks -- a "tool" used by people whose beliefs (any beliefs from religion to politics to audio) are challenged, but they can only support their beliefs with "because I say so".

I used my EYES to pick out my subwoofer driver from the specs, my HANDS to build the enclosure, my SOUND METER and sinewave test tones to set my parametric EQ, and my active crossover to keep it rumbling.

There was no way to audition it until it was constructed, and no reason to listen until it was carefully equalized for my sweet spot seat.

Did I tell you my 6.5 cubic foot enclosure is a vertical tube with the upfiring driver on top that my significant other nicknamed "The Phallic Symbol Sub"?

Well, it seems my posts are getting you riled up, and unless you enjoy getting riled up, like most women do, although not by ME, I propose to agree with everything you post from now on, by not posting any "counterattacks", if you agree with everything I post from now on, by not posting any "counterattacks".

If we both agree, then I feel this historic "peace treaty" will last
at least 13 minutes.

I've contacted Jimmy Carter via e-mail to ask for help making this proposed treaty last more than 13 minutes, and believe if we succeed, then there is hope for peace in The Middle East.
