I'm sorry but if you studied brain research on testing research you would not put 100% of your belief system in these tests. The DBT is not an infallible tool.

If one hears something sighted then fails a DBT that does NOT in any way shape or form indicate that that failure means that bias sighted fooled him. I understand why that is the impression it gives - but it is Wrong wrong wrong.

And practically speaking - if one listens sighted hears a difference, then fails a DBT, but goes back to the sighted listening and then hears the difference again - what is your suggestion then?

The "logic" is that once you are proved to fail the DBT the light should go on that the difference isn't real so with that new education bias in your brain you should no longer perceive a difference.

Hi-Fi Choice magazine for 20 years has been doing the most important aspect of your bias removal - they level match and no one knows what is being played. And yet differences come up - why? because they take out the test aspect. And manufacturers sit in on those tests and they often choose competitor's less expensive products as being as good or better.

Test stress is a real issue whether arm chair forum engineer hacks can understand the research or not. And even with their limited knowledge they still don't run enough trials. 6/10 is by no means a fail - but the AES is too slow witted to get it.
