I'd highly recommend getting the Sparkos opamps (two are required for each mono if using XLR). The opamps made a rather significant improvement IMO. I've had a pair for a few months now with the lowe .......

I still prefer the old Discwasher brush with a misting of liquid record cleaning fluid on the brush. Without liquid, the dust just gets moved around the record. .......

It's a SinglePower MPX3. With the bottom plate removed you can easily see where the capacitors came loose. That circuit board is screwed into the frame. There's about 1/4" or so of access space from .......

Turns out the USB selection on the DAC was set to 1 when it should have been on 2. The manual said nothing about the system not recognizing input if set to one vs the other, just that the sound qualit .......

I've not restarted the router or modem; however, the streamer shows it's connected to the network via Ethernet to the extender and the DAC shows input from a USB source is there. Everything looks like .......

Yep. Roon sees the Streamer and when I click on the little icon for info or something, it shows the new DAC (or old DAC in my case as the Benchmark DAC3 uses the same drivers as the DAC2 so Roon sees .......

without a manual. The older VTL amps don't have auto biasing. The previous MB-125 I sold years ago didn't have it and the MB-185 from the same era doesn't have it, either. I believe the 125s used EL34 .......

The original LS50 is an amazing speaker. I think they can be an end game speaker for someone not into shuffing speakers in/out of a system. So if these are an improvement, they're probably scary good. .......

I've not done a direct comparison with the SixPacs. The amps that was in my system just before the Monarchy was the Marsh A400S, which I find to be a fantastic amp; clean, clear and precise. One thing .......

Between cables and music I'd opt for music. Cable upgrades, IME, offer slight and subtle changes, at best. You have to have a pretty revealing system to even hear those differences. .......

Thank you. Paul from Soundocity responded essentially like you said. The cones I've picked up will fit directly into the speakers, but will need 1/4-20 cones if I want to use the outriggers. ::: TOPI .......

I didn't measure anything out. Put some bleach/water in a disposable food container and used a small towel to wipe the speakers down. It was probably a 1:5 mixture so way heavier on the bleach than re .......

My current speakers are Merlin TSM-MXMs. I've read somewhere that Bobby preferred lower wattage amps with his speakers and the Marsh are double the wattage he recommended. If this were an applesto app .......

but now I'm not so sure. I think I prefer my Marsh P200B feeding a Marsh A400S vs the AR LS17 feeding a AES SixPac. I find the SS gear offers a better soundstage with much better depth than the tubed .......

I removed the anti-virus that I had replaced and thought was removed, but was not. The weird part is this has been the same for six months and just recently the issues started. I'm hoping it stays fix .......
