I've not done a direct comparison with the SixPacs. The amps that was in my system just before the Monarchy was the Marsh A400S, which I find to be a fantastic amp; clean, clear and precise.
One thing I did notice when swapping out to the Monarchy's is that they kept the clarity, imaging, etcetera but added a sense of "meat on the bones" to the music.
I think the Monarchy is a fantastic amp (mine are used an mono/balanced). I was thinking an amp cannot possibly sound much better than these, only different. However, I was thinking something from Pass Labs would be mentioned. I wish I had never sold my Aleph 3 or 2. Dumb moves I make sometimes.
