Right now, my streaming device(s) consists of a laptop connected to a dock via USB C cable and connected to that dock are a DVD reader, memory card reader, monitor and the hard drive that contains my music all using cabling that came with the various devices.
As I was considering trying Roon, I got to thinking that my stereo setup has all upgraded cabling but that the source that starts the whole streaming process does not.
Would upgrading the cables at the computer make any difference? Also, would it make any difference in sound quality if I connect the memory drive directly to the laptop as opposed to having it connected via the docking station?
Thanks,
Mamoru
