Upgrade question

Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

At some point, I think I'd like to upgrade my transport or dac but not sure which one as I think they're both decent and actually sound really good. But 'tis the Asylum.

My transport is an Audio Research CD3. OK, it's a CDP but I'm using it as a transport.

My dac is a PS Audio Perfectwave.

Would upgrading the transport or dac make the biggest improvement?

For transport I was thinking the Jay's Audio and for the dac I wasn't really sure but was thinking maybe the Audio Research dac3 mk ii.

Thoughts?
