Polarity can easily be determined with a battery so I'm not worried about it. I can safely do this with a small value resistor and a 1.5V AAA battery.
The Rane AC22 is a L-R 24db crossover, only. There are no other selectable slopes. I bought this used for about $50 for the purpose of experimenting with an electronic crossover, to see how I liked the results. If it goes like I think, I expect to upgrade the crossover. I've considered an RC networks for the input of the amplifiers to try to imitate the stock crossover. But, having stared at the schematic for the 2.6, I cannot figure out what that crossover is. I suppose it is a simplified design of something more complicated. But it doesn't look like anything I've come across.
