I would be cautious

since he is utterly clueless when it comes to other cables like interconnects. He wrote a white paper about comparing ICs that demonstrates profound ignorance (or just speculation run amok).

First, read his White paper . Sounds reasonable to use a Y-adapter, right? His smug conclusion sounds reasonable only up until the point you actually measure what really goes on...

"You will find that both "golden ear" audiophiles as well as non-audiophiles will both be able to hear the same thing you do. In other words, this test is very accurate and if differences are present, everybody will be able to hear them and agree. But after doing this test, you will discover that all the hype surrounding interconnects is just that. The fact is that all well-designed interconnects sound identical. Only poorly designed interconnects will reveal differences in sound. "

Results of his bogus test

Is anyone surprised that there is no difference when you compare BOTH cables to BOTH cables? :)
