I would not worry about the sound of the "stock" Moondogs (if you worry why did you order them firsthand).
Ron's gear will mightily shine in a complimentary/synergistic system and will expose any gear not made to work with low powered SET's or just not up to the new high standards.
I.e most people will not have the necessary efficient speakers and any tweaking/upgrading an amp will then be a very futile experiment.
Enjoy your music first, upgrade your system to the standards of the Moondogs (a lot of stuff to build...) and then finetune the whole system to your taste with upgrades, resistors, capcitors and tubes.
