There are so many things wrong with what you describe that it's hard to even address. A pancreatic tumor is extraordinarily serious, but it cannot be diagnosed through blood markers- there must be imaging and a biopsy. To recommend hospice care based on blood markers (presumably CA19-9) is verging on malpractice, since a pancreatic tumor can be removed surgically if it has not spread (unfortunately a rare situation).
Beyond all that mess, it's just a very sad event in life. I'm sorry.
