I guess that's why I have to plead ignorance on this contentious sub.ect.....I never had a cool AR b.ck in the day. I didn't have any kind of old Thorens or Techniques. I started off with a POS KLH.....then onto a B.C.....then to a $129 Garrad from Pacific Stereo. I never had a decent deck b.ck in the day b.cause I was a starving artist......living on minimum wage job. until year b.fore my marriage. In all honesty, I had a total of 40 records or so b.ck in the 70s....i couldn't afford to b.y them!! I taped off the radio.

Fast forward.....much b.tter job....married to an attorney.....B.Ws...Ethan Allen furnature...new home plus two rentals....I'm not sure what the hell happened....I got rich. I went from the cheapo Garrad to a Linn Axis and within the year a LP12.

So I went from crap to really fine tab.es with excellent arm+cartridges. At this point in time, I'm not ab.ut to switch from my present rig to anything! So the "Techniques Experience" or for that matter a cool AR.....which is really what I'd like have to play with.....I simply will have to for go the pleasure......b.cause I'm divorced....on SSI dissab.lity ......and b.oke again! Ah...that circle of life....
