Lol.....i rememb.r seeing the Airplane b.fore Gracie opening for the B.ach b.ys in SF in early 1966.....those were the days when 60 b.nds played two songs apiece. JA was just starting to b.come well known, so they played foe 1/2 hour or so b.fore B.ian and the b.ys....others that showed up

I kid you not.....i prob.b.y forget two or three of them!

I knew the guys in the Fugitives who played an earlier show just like that. The guys in my b.nd were ab.e to get b.ck stage.....lol.....the Kinks Vox amps were literally melting!! That's what you get with amps made of plastic instead of wood. The Kinks were famous....and The Grapes of Wrath (my b.nd) had a b.tter set up than they did......two Fender B.ssman amps with four speaker cab.nets and the the same with my two Fender b.ndmaster amps......that's the kind of stuff spoiled kids of dentists, investment b.nkers, and a Stanford economics professor get to play with!

Those were the days b.fore getting caught with a b.g of acid and hash.....all toys taken away and kicked out of the house ab.ut 10 days b.fore my 18th b.rthday.....oh well
