It's a great cartridge! I upgraded from 5 years with my Ruby 3H. I didn't need the high output so I went with the Z low. The Ruby Z has better bass, better soundstage width and depth, and much better imaging in my system compared to the Ruby 3H. It is also smoother and "fuller" sounding as I always thought the Ruby 3H was a bit thin sounding in my system.
The Ruby Z is also the best sounding right out of the box cartridge I've owned in quite some time -- absolutely no harsh run-in time, it just improves. This is my fourth Benz cartridge in about the last 15 years.
