This has been driving me nuts with curiosity, I have the same issue but not as bad as others have described. I don't have a single album that is unlistenable save for one that is so warped that it is unplayable. Otherwise, it's an occasional, very brief left channel distortion.

I'll trade that for the fact that these are available and a great price! Our used LP market is absurd here -- very expensive and grading is erratic, sorely visual. As a result, I have several used LPs that look flawless and have a constant sssshh throughout.
