I emailed SME & they were pretty quick with their response. To wit: As long as the stylus/cart matches up with the protractor everything else should be OK. They made no mention of the bias issue though I brought it up in the email. Is it alright to set the bias level at a higher value than the VTF if necessary? I presume it is. Thanks.
