(Never thought I would hear about someone who actually bought a vinyl demagnetizer. I never got how those could work, although apparently you have gotten value from the thing. I never heard a thing about that problem in all the years I have been following Hi Fi until the solution was for sale. )

For me, I'm trying to cool it on the Chinese manufactured stuff , although it is not always that easy.

I feel that since I am a working guy, squeezing some other poor worker with few or no options working under a communist regime, just so I can save a few bucks on a luxury item, is not good for my self image. Plus I have a kid I have to set an example for.

I have a lot of Chinese stuff, don't think I'm that special or condemning. It's just that I like having a job that lets me take my kids to the movies once and a while or go on a vacation.

I would prefer that every product I buy would give the worker that I support with my purchase some kind of joy for his wages instead of an early grave. Hence, the slow bell on the China stuff. Plus I don't think they like me much anyway.
