I'm with you on 103, lacking detail for sure and I found the upper mids to high end dirty. The Uwe opened up the cartridge but still I knew I was stilling missing something. The next step would be to SS Ruby it. I was able to pick-off a Fidelity Research MC201 from Audiogon for cheap and I had the SS Ruby installed. I'm just blown away with this cartridge.
Great detail but not analytical. Balanced from top to bottom. I never had a cartridge that can draw out the emotion of a recording like this cartridge does. Spooky. It just kills the 103/Uwe and 20xl but I also think the Supex 900 Super beats these two out also.
