Thanks to all. Anyone offer advice on the diameter of the vent hole?

I have a Oracle V with SMEV and a Koetsu RSP. The Garrard is definitely more forceful and keeps toe tapping pace. The comparison is unfair as the Oracle combination costs $$$$ more. The Oracle combination is more coherent, detailed and has deeper layering. You're talking a cartridge on the Garrard (Ortofon red $80.00) vs one that costs 50x more on the Oracle.

I'd say that given the perfomance thus far, the Garrard holds its own and I could definitely live with it.
