You don't have to "attach" the Mapleshade footers, the TT just sits on them (they are very heavy). The top of the footer has three small, sharp "spikes", and the bottom has one. When used on a wooden platform (MDF is OK) the TT is VERY stable. Yes, if you tripped and fell on it, it would be bad! Optionally, you can drill and attach the footers with screws (there is a threaded version available).
