For the past year or so, it has been a rare occasion that I've been able to kick back on a non-"school night," have a couple cocktails and listen to some records. Tonight is such an occasion.

This evening, I am quite partial to Dinah Washington. "Best in Blues" and "Slick Chick (on the mellow side)"

If you like Dinah and haven't heard these early sessions, check them out. Recorded '43 -54, I think they were not released on LP until after the after the Emarcy sides became popular, 1954+.

Speaking of the Emarcy stuff, I think "After Hours with Miss D" is next!
