Here's my set-up: Cinemags 24dB, Phono Stage 24dB, Line Stage 20 dB= 68dB with the DL-103. I want to get down to around 60dB total because that's what the math tells me and that's what my volume control tells me (not enough range). My speakers are high efficiency Altecs.
It seems I'm very limited to what combinations I can put together to achieve my 60dB goal. Most Line Stages are 20dB and most phono stages are at least 40dB. Even the old ARC and CJ's phono stages are to high for my purposes. Has anyone else run into these issues? I see Jensen has a couple of SUT's that have less gain that might work well with the DL-103.
