Most of us here, I believe, have a collection large enough to avoid playing certain records or artists in heavy rotation. Yet there are some that you just can't spin enough.
What's in your top 5 rotation, records or artists? Not necessarily "favorites," just the most frequent.
Duke Ellington - "Blues in Orbit" Easily the number one record, spins at least twice a month.
Dinah Washington - Emacry releases. I've got all but two, and spin about one per week.
Cal Tjader - various I can't play just one. Cal spins in bunches.
Sidney Bechet - various Like Cal Tjader, one LP from Sidney is never enough.
The Meters - "Fire on the Bayou" Awesome record, I need more Meters.
Willie Colon - "The Hustler" Hard to pass up when flipping through the C's.
Oops, that's six. Did I say five?
