I have owned a Benz "Wood" L for several years and have been very happy with it. But I bought it for $800 (got a trade-in credit, it was $1,200 list). I see the new S Wood is $1,500 list. I have not heard enough cartridges in that price range to make any comments, but I do think it's a shame that the price has gone up quite a bit. Then again, with the current Euro - $$ exchange rate, the fact that the US price is quite a bit higher is no great surprise.
But I say everyone should go out and bargain hunt the older Benz carts, which I see being nicely discounted at a number of places :)
