Greetings- I'm in the process of putting together a pseudo-vintage turntable setup (Garrard 401,Schick tonearm)and am leaning towards the purchase of an original Ortofon SPU. I've already got a fairly good selection of step-up transformers if needed, so would I be better off purchasing the G version instead of the GT. My preference thus far has been for low output MC carts. Music listenened to nowadays is evenly split between jazz and classical, with just a bit of rock to shake the cobwebs loose now and then. Suggestions? Thanks very much, wpod ****ps-my apologies if this post shows up somewhere else, I thought that I had asked this question this morning, but can't find it anywhere. I think that I'm loosing it.
