Greetings- God bless your uncle, you are very fortunate. I'm in the process of doing the exact same thing so I will tell you where I started, The Vinylengine Website. Your can download the owners manual there, which also has a small drawing with dimensions for the template that you will need, to make a plinth. It will probably work fine if it was set up for 117vac/60hz, which is quite easy to check (just need a screwdriver), just open the connecting block cover. If the pulley/spindle is brass (as opposed to nickel), then you have the correct 60Hz pulley. Rather than trying to explain it to you, take a look at the diagram in the owner's manual. If you would prefer to save a few bucks and you can DIY, email me if you have any questions. Do you have a tonearm in mind? Good Luck, enjoy, Happy New Year, regards, wpod
