RE: Regarding the older type dashpot.

Greetings- Thanks for the reply. I was told that it was possible to get the dashpot functioning again but after several hours (and eventually days) of trying everything that I could think of, I finally gave up. I even tried 3 different viscosities of the silicone damping fluid (besides the correct one). As you stated, it is nearly impossible to totally dismantle the unit unlesss you had specialized tools and perhaps a mechanical drawing. I didn't want to damage it any further (if possible). Thanks for telling me about the missing/broken azimith bolt. I was hoping that I wouldn't have to deal with the seller again after the dashpot incident, but it looks like I am going to have to give him another call. I don't want to mess with the arm until I have a new Arm Socket and azimuth bolt in hand.Thank you, wpod
