from everything that I have read, it seems that I have the "improved" arm, which seems to be a misnomer in this case. One link that I found states that you must have the elongated dashpot hole (I don't) in order to field service the unit. My "improved" model has three screws under the dashpot cover, two are to hold the cover in place and the third smaller screw appears to be a filler hole, perhaps to add more silicone? Either way, in the Service sheet #30 (link below)it states that all others "can only be serviced at the factory".I hope that A knowledgeable inmate can tell me that it can be done "at home".
