Greetings- Just finished making a new armboard for mounting an SME 3009 on my Sondek. Everything went fairly smooth, but now that the arm is mounted and it's fully functional, I don't like the feel of the tonearm lift, it is not "smooth " at all and drops the arm much too fast for my liking. I looked through all of the SME manuals on the VinylEngine website, but didn't see anything mentioned , concerning my problem. As I purchased the tonearm used, I'm not entirely sure which version it is (seriesII, series II S2, improved, etc.), what is the easiest way to determine the exact model of the arm? And, Is there a silicon damping fluid level that has to be checked? Help! Thank You, wpod
