SME tonearms and 90 degree DIN connectors

I just noticed that the Elusive Disc website wants you to indicate if its for use with a SME tonearm (Hovland Music Groove 2 90 deg. DIN phono cable).

==> Do the more recent SME tonearms (IV, IV.Vi, V) require a special type or connector length for 90 degree DIN connector? The straight DIN connector on the website does not require this information.

I'm aware that all phono DIN connections are not really true DIN connectors. It just appears that the SME is different than, say one for a Graham tonearm.
