Yesterday, I cleaned and re-lubed my Lenco L75 motor, and left it to run for about an hour. I stopped it, when I realized it was getting a bit hot - not so hot that I couldn't touch it, but still pretty hot...The lubricants were some white mineral "hobby-oil", I guess grade 10 or so, and Shell Alvania no 2 grease. I likely got some grease between the motor shaft and the inside of the ball bearings, which may be a bad thing....Today, I read about the sintered bronze bearings, so I took the motor completely apart, and decided to do it right this time. I now have the ball bearings soaked in the thin "hobby oil", and will leave them there for a day or two. But I'm not so sure about the grease that I used - maybe I need something else here? Is anyone familiar with Shell Alvania no 2?
