RE: VdH tips and rumors of defects...

Thanks for the suggestions, don't worry, I have no problem buying used or vintage stuff, actually, I usually prefer it. Most of my main system dates back to the fifties (tube amplifiers)and my speakers are nearly 30 years old as well.Come to think of it, my turntable (Sondek) is probably 35 years old too. Fortunately,I can look around for a few weeks as I still haven't mounted the tonearm on the deck yet. I'm going to try to spend a lot more time here reading at Vinyl, instead of my usual haunt, Tube DIY. This place is great.Thank you everyone. regards, wpod
