I'm not getting the thick and rich sound of my Dual 1229 from my Lenco L75. I have a Linn LV X tonearm installed. On both, I was using a Grado Prestige Silver cartridge. The Lenco/Linn also seems a tad hard sounding. What I do notice is that the Lenco combo is dancing circles around the Dual in terms of tracking ability and transparency....but I'm not sure it's as musical. For both I was using a Realistic solid state phono stage, which quite frankly sounds better than this Audio Experience Concerto preamp that just arrived. Any comments or tips would be appreciated.
