Yes, I think that would be fine. Ceramic is very very hard and will push the zirconium out of the way, while with teflon, the zirconium just imbeds in it (my Studietto has a teflon thrust pad.)It's just that some TT's employ a nylon or plastic outer bearing, and that might suffer unwanted wear.
