It just shows how big a factor personal preference is.

I ran a P3-2000 and SL-1200 for several years. I'm also intimately familiar with the P2, owned by an acquaintance, which is similar to my P3. I preferred the '1200 over the Rega tables in every way and with every single cartridge I owned.

The 1200 is very speed-stable, is resistant to feedback, and it just sounds . . , well, 'very right'. Nevermind the adjustability, which is a HUGE bonus.

For me the 1200 is a serious table, whereas the Regas are but a mystery, as in 'why do some people actually like them'. Now the fisher-price sits somewhere above the Regas but below the '1200.
