That's likely a commisioned piece from one of the established Japanese designers. That's not to say that it doesn't have a re-labeled twin. I'm no longer an insider so I am not privvy to this. That said, I can give you previous examples. For instance there were 2 lines of Sumiko cartridges that were OEM'd by the guys at Grace.
These show up on Ebay on occasion and they go for next to nothing, yet they are equivalents of the F8, F9, and F10 with many of the same stylus configurations. There was another cartridge, a moving coil, that came 3 stylus configurations as well as in mono. It was the OEM equal of the GAS Sleeping Beauty. In that particular case, they didn't even try to hide the fact and chose to use even the same packaging! It sold for half the price of the GAS.
There are other examples, but that's the gyst of it. Just realize that the real cartridge masters are staunchly independent and they are not tied down to any single cartridge company or brand. Anyone can commission them to design or build one, or even re-package one from the "arsenal".
This is common practice.
Have you seen the new Mobile Fidelity Cartridge for instance?
Look familiar? Before the designer behind ZYX, Hisayoshi Nakatsuka started his own company, he designed many of the finest and most reknowned, eg. The Accuphase line, The Monster Cable Line, and I have strong suspicion of another much lesser known line of MM's from the same era and of very similar design philosophy as well...
Mosin has exposed other OEM examples in his travels as well.
I'm sure there are many yet to be exposed.
Cheers,
Me, I'm just a lawnmower, you can tell me by the way I walk....
