For example:
on my Rega P3 I eventually came to leaving the dust cover on during play as it seemed to limit the RB300 arm's tendency to pickup irritating feedback,
but with the SL1200 I take the cover off as on that table it seems to contribute to feedback.I like the hinges on the SL1200 cover as they are snug but still separate easily. The cover tilts up and then with a subtle backward pressure the hinges release so the cover can be placed aside during play. The SL1200 hinged cover minimizes the risk of arm or record damage. I have a good outoftheway location for the cover during play so it doesn't cause any trouble.
