Thanks for the info Jim.I'll try your settings to see if there's any difference to what I'm hearing now. If so I should be able to dial it "right" in from there. I suspected that it might be better with less mass on the arm.
The standard mat is 1/8" thick, while the one Kevin at KAB supplies with his Technics tables is 1/4". Not knowing for sure which you have, I'll just try VTA corrections for both.
I'll also see if "pass the peas"'s VTA works out to about the same.
The really neat thing about the 1200 tables, beside the value factor, is how easily repeatable the settings are.
