I've recently acquired three of the two record sets from the Franklin Mint "100 Greatest Recordings of All Time" series. Aside from very nice packaging, informative booklets and the records being pressed in a beautiful burgundy color, I must admit, these sound damn nice. The records appear to be 180g pressings, or at least heavier than the standard 140g.I’m listening to record No. 30 right now, Khachaturian/Oistrakh- Concerto in D Minor for Violin and Orchestra. Very nice.
There doesn’t seem to be a lot of info available on them though. Does anyone know if there is a complete listing or some history anywhere?
