Greetings- after nearly 25 years away from vinyl, I just purchased (locally-no shipping involved) an older 1979/80 LP-12 with a Mission 774 tonearm and 773 cart that is supposed to have the Nirvana upgrade. From what I have read, this upgrade is to the main bearing. I need to learn how to properly identify the upgrade, any ideas? Even more important, what is the correct way to position the table ( to access underneath) as to not spill the bearing fluid and tonearm damping fluid. I'm quite pleased with the sound of the unit as is, however my plan is to install an SME 3009 tonearm in the near future.Any MC cartridge recommendations in the sub $500.00 level? Thanks very much for your help, wpod
