Re: Yes several years ago I did say "the 24 hour rule may be overkill" as some thought 2-12 hours was long enough.

Your ridiculous assertions which you present as documented fact are based on vapor research from 30 years ago that no one else seems to remember, much less be able to locate today.

Now, in your "last word" post you even claim "...lots of additional testing has been due to prove Vinyl amazing memory accuracy and groove’s ability to regain 100% it’s original shape within 24 hours of playing."

To make matters worse, you then attempt to assign the burden of proof to those who question your “mandatory 24 hour rule” even though it is clearly not established and accepted practice, based on the postings here.

“The most productive research will be to your local library. Try searching using their microfiche to search all stereo magazines between 1970 – 1979. If you are lucky you should find 5 to 10 articles the original and subsequent Vinyl testing research. Also books on Vinyl at the library and at the bookstore.”

Since you acknowledge the 24 hour rule as Carved in Stone, Mandatory Vinyl Record Policy, may I suggest that you go to your local library or do whatever it takes to locate the alleged research or SHUT THE HELL UP ABOUT IT AND QUIT PRESENTING IT AS ESTABLISHED FACT!
