I believe Rob Doorack likes those a lot also, so much that his Asylum listed system (last I checked) had the FR Mk1 3F in it. That's the one I replaced with a 201 because of the high tracking force;I was using 2.5g and Peter Aczel was recommending 3.5g. He also called it "a monstrously crude and heavy device". It did sound excellent, as long as the LP wasn't cut too hot. It wouldn't track past the #3 bands on a Shure test record at 2.5g.The Shelter seemed like the transients were smoothed over or something. I almost went with a DV17, but the opinions on it were really polarized.
