I second the JD-100A

at least when I used to listen to it. Its very decent for a seedee player. But I've gone so vinyl that I haven't had it plugged in for over a year. I'm sure that I will at some point.

Also, it responds very well to tube rolling as Scottrt said above. I've tried the stock tubes, E-H, and GE blackplate trip mica 5751's and stayed with those although the E-H are great rock tubes for the price (the high end is a little mushy on E-H 12ax7 tubes).
