manual cleaning expereince for newbie(long)

I am currently manually wet cleaning the 40 or so used records i bought from an ebay seller for $15. Most are in great shape no warps or major scratches, just dirty. Since i cant afford a RCM right now, I am giving manual cleaning a shot. I havent been able to find a local store that sells a record cleaning brush so i have tried various brushes that ive found at drug stores and hardware stores, the best ive found so far is the velvet type lint brush. Its seems to work ok until I can order a true record brush. Anyone else try one of these brushes?? It was good in a pinch so I could at least get the records playable. I mixed up a batch of DIY fluid using 3part distilled water, 1 part isopropyl alchol and a few drops of dye/frag. free dish soap. I gently dust off the records first with a soft makeup brush and then put some fluid on the record and brush and commence scrubbing, when I feel ive scrubed enough, I give a rinse with distilled water and repeat on the other side, I let them air dry and thenwipe down with a anti static record cleaning cloth my dad gave me.

Well the good thing is that the records are now playable and im enjoying some new music. Thebad thing is it takes a bit of elbow grease to get all 40 or 50 cleaned. And also some are stil a bit noisy, im not sure if its the fact that the brush im using isnt getting into the grooves or if the records or just worn im not sure. I need to order a good wet brush and fluid, any reccomendations???

Im really starting to enjoy vinyl and its great fun. I cant wait till I get my Thorens 165 up and running. Im making a new plinth and bottom plate for it right now with some dynamate and cone feet. Im hoping the Thorens will be a nice step up from this DD Fisher table and old Pickering 395e cart im using. Well just wanted to share my expereince with everyone, you guys have converted me to analog, thank you!
