Pickering 395e+d6e cartridge?

Anyone know anything about this older cart?? It is on a vintage Fisher table I got from my Dad. The table and cart are from the mid 70's i beleive, it was before Fisher got really crappy, the table is quite well built with a heavy aluminum paltter and a decent tonearm. It actually sounds half decent with this Pickering cart. Im not exactly sure how old it is, but my Dad says that he is pretty sure it has low hours, but has been in storage for a good 15 years or so. So i was wondering if this cart is considered to be any god or should i upgrade to something newer and better? I dont want to spend much maybe $50-60, but since i am getting a new table in the next 6months or so and the cartridge could be used on the new table I may consider spending a few more dollars. Many people seem to reccomend the AT a95e or a120 in my price range. Im just wondering if a budget cart like this is gonna be an improvement over the Pickering cart on the table now??
thanks
