Turntable plinth

Considering a plinth for my Orbe,its sitting on top of a 10 mm glass shelf and the rack sits on thinnish carpet,concrete floor.Its solid as a rock and sounds fine.

Would a plinth improve matters still,the one I'm considering is 20mm granite,10 mm MDF on felt pads finnished in a wood surround? 18x14 ins.

Should I leave well alone or consider others(slate,acrylic'perspex)
