Newbie cart install questions.

Just received a new Benz Glider and I have a couple questions about the install.
Q1: The pins on the Glider are the same color as my Goldring Maestro but the colors are in different positions. Do I go by color or position?
Q2: There were two rubber washers included with the Glider. Are these necessary?
