I have an Michell Orbe SE NC(uk)about £2300 (new without arm or cartridge),which is neutral sounding and highly recommended, setting up is relatively easy and once done, thats it(new, you have to build them yourself, takes about an hour and is relatively easy).Should if set up correctly out-perform your Wadia cd.Can be purchased 2nd hand for a lot less, check the mags,2nd hand normally have a decent cartridge and arm already on board.
If purchased new, should set aside another £1000 give or take for decent arm/cartridge combo.
But to be honest I would go 2nd hand and save a few bob.
